WAF, tutti i vincitori dell'edizione 2024

WAF, annunciati i vincitori dell'edizione 2024

È la Darlington Public School a Sidney, progettata da fjcstudio, ad aggiudicarsi il titolo di World Building of the Year al World Architecture Festival (WAF) 2024, mentre il Pang Mei Noodle Bar LFS a Pechino, disegnato da Office AIO, è stato proclamato World Interior of the Year, nell'ambito dell'Inside World Festival of Interiors, l'evento parallelo dedicato agli interni.

L'edificio pubblico Küçükçekmece Djemevi di EAA-Emre Arolat Architecture è stato riconosciuto come Future Project of the Year; "Regeneration Of Vitality", il progetto di riqualificazione della Guanlan Riverside Plaza di Shenzhen, a firma di LAY-OUT Planning Consultants, ha vinto il titolo di Landscape of the Year.

Gli overall winner dell'edizione di quest'anno del WAF, a tema Tomorrow, sono stati annunciati a Singapore durante la cena di gala al termine della tre giorni conclusiva del festival, tenutasi dal 6 all'8 novembre al Marina Bay Sands, con un ricco programma di talk e panel discussion. Nelle prime due giornate, sono stati proclamati i 42 vincitori di categoria, selezionati dalla giuria del premio tra 470 progetti shortlisted provenienti da tutto il mondo.

Durante l'evento a Singapore, sono stati annunciati anche i vincitori degli Special Prizes e l'overall winner del WAFX, la sezione del premio dedicata ai progetti che affrontano i grandi temi globali, come la salute, il cambiamento climatico, la tecnologia, l'etica e i valori: si tratta di Knowledge Economic City, una nuova Smart City in Arabia Saudita progettata da DLR Group.
