The first Archi?World® Academy was jointly launched by Archi?Europe and Messe München in January 2011 during last BAU edition and we want to thank Professor Juhani Pallasmaa who made us the honor to be President of this competition. Our deepest and sincere thanks also go to our jury members Zaha Hadid, Françoise?Hélène Jourda, Bjarke Ingels, Daniel Libeskind, Kengo Kuma, Christoph Ingenhoven, Mario Cucinella , Jean?Michel Jaspers, Francine Houben, Ma Yansong, Andrey Bokov and Bijoy Jain for accepting to be part of this project and offering to 12 students the unique opportunity to perform a traineeship in such prestigious practices.
The competition
1.274 student’s projects have been presented for this first edition which we consider a very promising result for the next editions. We are very proud to announce that the winners, as you will see, are coming from all over the world.
