HENNING STUMMEL ARCHITECTS
We are a small, award-winning architectural practice, founded by Henning Stummel in 2000. We are passionate about architecture, design and place-making, working closely with our clients to develop the brief and deliver projects which engage and delight. Our process is developed through listening and clear communication, both visually and verbally, this empowers clients and convinces planners. We are a dedicated team who enjoy attention to detail. It is important to us that completed projects are successful in design as well as responsible to the environment and social impact.
MCADAM ARCHITECTS
McAdam Architects is an architectural practice, established by Tanya Kalinina and James McAdam in 2002.
The practice has experience on a diverse range of projects including - private houses and apartments, refurbishments and conversions, residential settlements, office buildings and interiors, retail centres, arts and cultural buildings, and large scale urban planning.
Our studio is based in London but we work without geographical limit. To-date we have completed projects in the UK, Russia, France and Israel.
The focus is on creating long-term value through high quality well-worked design solutions, with emphasis on providing thoughtful architecture and on pushing the boundaries of design and planning.
We enjoy interesting and complicated requirements and locations – from refurbishment and conversion of existing buildings to complex urban infill sites and city-scale development plans.
The partners are involved in teaching and seminars, debate and discourse, initiatives and other professional activities around architecture.
In 2014 both of the partners completed PhDs on the Practice Research Program at RMIT University.
SOLIDSPACE
Solidspace is an independent developer – we create bespoke, sensitive and well-designed projects that unlock the potential of small backland gap sites that others’ may overlook.
We use our imagination, enthusiasm, ingenuity and skills to craft new homes that suit those who live in them whist enhancing their locale. Founded by architect Roger Zogolovitch in 2003, Solidspace is leading a campaign to create a movement of independent developers. A force that could make a massive difference in delivering the number of high quality new homes so desperately needed.
All the Solidspace projects have been the result of independent development and each one has allowed us to gain a great deal of experience and knowledge over the years in creating projects that work.
In 2015, Roger published his book “Shouldn’t we all be developers?” which investigates all facets of development explaining how we have reached the current situation (a paucity of new home supply) and juxtaposes propositions for unlocking the jam. The book acts as a call to action for this new movement. All independent developers need is to be cut a bit of slack and they will deliver.
