INTRODUCTION
The company Tajfun wishes to build a showroom for products, which will serve as a presentation area for the company and create a new centre for social gatherings. The building will also include an info point, a lecture room and a bar. The showroom would have a parking garage with about 200 parking spaces for employees at the Tajfun Planina factory. Tajfun is one of the largest manufacturers of forestry equipment (winches and wood splitters) in the world.

LOCATION
The plot is located opposite the Tajfun factory in Planina pri Sevnici in Slovenia. Near the location, there is a local guest house, bus station, and some other smaller prefabricated facilities. The plot descends towards the southwest by two floors, surrounded by the existing access road.

CONCEPT
The new building will spread over the entire length of the planned plot in a monolithic linear move and occupy the road area by the fire brigade and multi-apartment building.

The building will be comprised of a uniform grid of transverse lamellas and will have a clean exterior, geometrically retained form of uniformly repetitive verticals – lamellas.
In the interior, we will build a two-level exhibition area. As the latter will be adapted to the content, it will create a dynamic movement of the lamellas. The lamellas thus recreate the sequence of the movement of the elevator.
The elevator movement sequences become the main tool for creating the interior space. Since we want Tajfun products to be presented in their natural working environment – the forest, the main and only construction material should be wood.

Undulating walls and frames create an open pavilion space for socialising and the presentation of the company. The height of two floors allows the presentation of products of larger dimensions, and in one part, also the placement of a lecture room. In the transverse direction, the pavilion is glazed and opens both to the carparks and to the courtyard, oriented towards the Tajfun factory. The lamellas of the building also represent a jutting roof over the bus stop. The two ends of the lamellas of the building are open and allow for free passage to the carparks and connection to the lower floors of the parking garage.
The pavilion is located on the parking garage’s base, which is lowered for two floors together with the existing terrain. The main entrance and exit to the parking garage is therefore planned from the level of the first basement below the pavilion. The floors are interconnected with ramps, providing parking spaces for 207 and 5 disabled parking spaces. The pavilion part is connected to the parking areas by a fire escape and elevator. The service section under the pavilion also includes toilets and an engine room. An emergency exit for vehicles is also possible from the level of the second basement and ground floor of an open-air platform. As it was in the past, the platform will also serve as a venue for organising various outdoor events.

CONSTRUCTION
Wooden pavilion frames are complemented by transverse glazing between single frames. The construction of the building therefore gives the impression of lightness, transparency, and allows the connection of the interior with the outer part of the pavilion. The counterweight of the pavilion’s lightness gives a firm AB base for the lower two parking floors, which, with the steel carriers and the concrete trapezoidal columns, continue the story of the exhibition space’s lamellas.
