The city of Tehran has a narrative story. Both the story and the city are the termination of dreams and ideals of the people and culture who live in the present and think about the future. The story of Tehran is a century of historical, cultural and social evolution of Iranian people. The city that was prominent for green nature, platanus trees and gardens but unfortunately at present nothing has remained from the history and identity of the past. Everything in the city from social life to the urban structure has lost its identity and function. Tehran is the city of reflection and silence. The city without social conversation. Due to the industrialization everything has lost its historical meaning and has found their contemporary definition. The city is in fact an art installation. The installation that the society has made unconsciously. In this city individuality represents itself strongly. A city without collective spirit. Everyone constructed his territory as he wants. The city of industrial glasses and mirrors. The glasses and the mirrors that have grown gradually instead of trees and plants. The more we build, the less we breath. The installations of the glass, concrete and steel from north to south instead of the trees. As a witness of the city transformation, this question has arised that how it can be possible to revive the forgotten identity and green city. The main approach of the thesis is based on the theory of the weakness, as an imperfect and manifold way of knowledge. The purpose is to find the solution for the main city problems by focusing on urban contemporary and historical analysis. The proposal revive the symbolic elements by contemporary interpretation.
