Juan E. Lopez is the New York Studio Leader at Oppenheim Architecture. After having worked for almost a decade with Oppenheim in Miami Juan moved to New York and is currently leading the company’s efforts in the City.
With over 12 years of experience, Juan’s work has included the design and management of award-winning residential, civic and commercial projects. His education includes various degrees in architecture and real estate from Columbia University, Los Andes University, and Florida International University. He has been presented multiple design awards for his participation on different projects. Such distinctions include mentions at the Biennale of Architecture in Colombia and recognition on exhibitions in the US among others.
In the past, Juan has worked with the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) and Alloy Development in New York. He has also been involved with academia, where he has participated as design guest critic and adjunct professor at institutions such as Columbia University and Florida International University.
