Hana Kassem, Director at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, has more than 19 years of experience as an architect. Since joining KPF in 2001, she has led the design of a variety of academic, science research, cultural, transportation, hospitality and commercial mixed-use projects in the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Her current work also includes the Goregaon Commerz 2 Towers in Mumbai, India, and the Faria Lima Corporate Towers and Barão de Tefé towers, both in Brazil. She has also led the design of the Al Bateen Wharf Hotel and Residences on a prominent site in mainland Abu Dhabi, a mixed-use project of more than 1 million square feet. Prior to joining KPF, Ms. Kassem worked for a number of years in the office of the Pritzker Prize-winning architect, Alvaro Siza, in Portugal, and at Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects in New York City on a variety of cultural projects. Ms. Kassem is a Registered Architect in the State of New York, a LEED Accredited Professional (AP), and an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Lebanese Architect’s Association. She was awarded the AIA Henry Adams Gold Medal for Design Excellence in her graduating class.
