Kingspan, a firm specializing in high-performance, low-carbon building envelopes, has opened its first branch in Italy – an important step in its expansion into the Old Continent . “The opening of our Verona office is the first step in our ambitious commitment to be manufacturing locally within five years,” said Michel Van Der Helm, regional director for Western Europe. “This project not only demonstrates our commitment to supplying high-quality products, but also to creating jobs and making a significant contribution to local economies.”
Paralleling what’s happening in Europe today, Kingspan, which already has many branches around the world, has embarked upon a long-term plan to achieve sustainability, a corporate mission that shows its ongoing commitment to innovation and environmental protection. This is behind the firm’s decision to open a new Italian branch and respond to the ever-increasing demand for low-energy, low-carbon emission buildings. And the demand for innovative façade systems in Italy is growing, fueled by the push towards energy-efficient renovations and building envelope solutions.
“Our ambitions go even further than this,” added Filippo Regoli, commercial director of Kingspan Italia. “We hope to contribute to the Italian building industry by creating more opportunities for the design and construction of more sustainable, energy efficient, and visually appealing buildings.”
Kingspan manufactures rigid thermal insulation, rainwater management systems, and sandwich panels, with each product the result of advanced engineering expertise, innovative building techniques, and cutting-edge insulating materials. “The decision to invest in Italy,” continued Regoli, “was motivated by the growing market demand for innovative architectural solutions for façades, and the growing need for building renovation and more energy-efficient, low-carbon emission building envelopes.”
Reflecting its long-established corporate mission, Kingspan aims to be a catalyst for positive change as it continues its commitment to a more responsible, more sustainable building industry.
