The projects in the ‘Urban Planning’ category of THE PLAN Award 2021

Urban planning is the sector that designs the background of our everyday life. An activity that today, after the expansion of urban centers, is rather concerned with the regeneration of existing spaces. With the pandemic, then, the debate on the issue of the suburbs has expanded towards the countryside. In addition, confirming the need to increase green areas and soft mobility, the need to rethink the public transport network was also highlighted, as well as the organization of time and space in workplaces and schools.

There are 12 shortlisted projects in the ‘Urban Planning’ category of THE PLAN Award 2021, between the two sections Completed and Future, from all over the world. These works have already passed the first selection phase of the prestigious annual architecture and design award and could be included by the jury among the finalists. However, everyone can vote for their favorite projects in view of the assignment of the Community Wish List Special Prize.
