THE PLAN Contract & Interior Design 7 is out now! A supplement included with THE PLAN 148, the two will be available at newsstands and online from September 2023. This issue looks at around twenty projects in a range of categories, including hospitality, adaptive reuse, retail, and work.
As is now tradition, it includes a section dedicated to the latest news from the yachting world. In this issue we look at the wallywhy150, a yacht built by Wally, part of the Ferretti Group, whose interiors were designed by Michelangelo Vallicelli of Vallicelli Design. We also review a luxury area designed by Lissoni & Partners on board Norwegian Prima cruise ship. The name of this exclusive area for taking in the sea views is The Haven.
This issue’s Portrait column is an interview with Deborah Berke and Maitland Jones, principals of TenBerke. We talk to them about some of their most important projects, including the Hotel Henry, 21c Museum Hotel, the 122 Community Arts Center, Princeton University Residential Colleges, and the Harvard Law School.
A feature of this second issue of THE PLAN Contract & Interior Design for 2023 – the first was released in April – is kaleidoscope, a section of short news items at the beginning that look at around a dozen interesting ideas to explore and discover.
Before the Report section, dedicated to the latest news from businesses in the industry, the issue features a long and in-depth look at Cortina Design Weekend, the long weekend in early July dedicated to design, sustainability, and accessibility.
