Dekton® Pietra Kode

Reinterpreting the stones that defined the story of Italian architecture

Designed by Daniel Germani, Cosentino’s new Dekton® surfaces were born from the reinterpretation of the timeless beauty of Vicenza stone, Travertine marble, and Ceppo di Grè. The Pietra Kode collection evokes the natural aspect of the three classic stones without renouncing innovation and optimization of technical performance. These three stones were also the source of inspiration for the development of new series within the collection – Vicenza Kode, Travertine Kode, and Ceppo Kode – which are capable of creating a deep sensory experience and maintaining the original beauty code.

The Pietra Kode collection, with a lens oriented towards the future, was created by breaking down and recoding the structure of the Vicenza stone, protagonist of 16th-century architecture, as well as the Travertine marble and Ceppo di Grè stone, which defined the identity of Rome and Milan respectively. The advantages from the subsequent process of Dekton® ultra-compaction have resulted in a nondeteriorating and extremely durable material, adaptable for various internal and external uses at a low environmental impact.

The Vicenza Kode series, featuring four warm colors and a uniform design, gives spaces a natural and elegant character, evoking a connection with the external environment. Its palette was inspired by the tones and textures of other stones. The Nebbia shade, for example, is an homage to the Grigio Alpi: the base is fine-grained creamy white with warm taupe undertones. There are also the Avorio and Grigio shades, as well as Grafite, which reinterprets the textures of dark limestone. Travertine Kode is available in the colors of Sabbia and Marmorio, the latter of which is inspired by the porous-striped Navona Travertine. Ceppo Kode features a pebble pattern that can adapt to classic, modern, and even rustic settings.

“For this collection, I spent a lot of time decoding the story of every stone in Italian architecture and reinventing them in a contemporary design with all the advantages of Dekton®”, underlined Daniel Germani. “Pietra Kode is truly a collection that enhances luxury in small details and allows for design looking to the future”.
