Naples is all around, and Palazzo Nanà is in its heart. Built at the end of the 19th century and historically known as one of the Four Palaces, this residential complex makes the Neapolitan tradition its own and brings it into the present, with a contemporary and refined style. Curated by Eight Lab, the design for this historical palace featuring an internal courtyard saw the renovation of its 80 apartments. Overlooking Piazza Nicola Amore, the building offers a strategic location with respect to the city’s most important places, from the liveliness of the Pendino neighborhood to the atmosphere of the Via Marina area, to the beauties of Via Duomo.
From the outside, Palazzo Nanà, with its eight total levels (including a basement), clearly shows the traditional ornamental motifs of neo-Renaissance inspiration. Conceived originally as a symbol of the Neapolitan ruling class and to satisfy the tastes of bourgeois patronage, this style becomes intertwined with a contemporary, sophisticated, and at times luxurious flair in the interiors. All the apartments, which range from 40 to 150 sq. m to meet various needs, are immersed in a refined setting, but do not sacrifice today’s most innovative technologies, quality materials, and the highest standards for energy efficiency. Designer materials and finishes embellish all the residence types, from those suitable for families to those for young couples, to the penthouses with 360° views of the city.
Colombini Group played a crucial role in this context, supplying furnishings for five apartments – specifically kitchens, main bedrooms, second bedrooms, bathrooms and terraces – from its Febalcasa brand. The result is flexible, functional home space with an esthetic and quality touch.
For example, the kitchens feature the Modula Line collection, which is characterized by the essential and elegant design of the door with a groove handle opening. This functional choice gives a minimalist aspect to the composition thanks to the continuity of the surfaces, united by finishings in Laccato Lucido Visone and materials like black marble Marquina Lucido or Fenix® Nero Ingo tops.
The desire to impart a new horizon of development in the area guided the search for architectural, environmental and social quality in this project.
