The Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award represents the highest tribute of the Créateurs Design Awards, celebrating each year exceptional figures who leave an indelible mark in the world of design and art. Foster’s award places him among prominent names like Tadao Ando, Iris Apfel, Robert A.M. Stern, and Gaetano Pesce, affirming the importance of his contribution to the culture of our time.
With his firm, Foster + Partners, Norman Foster has created projects that meet not only aesthetic and functional needs but also contribute significantly to enhancing urban life. Each of his works represents a manifesto of sustainability and connection, born from a philosophy focused on the future and the generations to come.
Foster has often emphasized that every accolade is shared with the team of professionals working alongside him, reiterating that «design is a collective commitment». Among his most celebrated works are the Gherkin in London and the restoration of the Reichstag in Berlin, projects that merge aesthetics, technology, and sustainability.
«Lord Norman Foster is not just an architect but a visionary who transforms buildings into symbols of progress and human aspiration. He perfectly embodies the spirit of the Andrée Putman Award».
