MIPIM Awards 2024 winning projects were announced on Thursday evening, March 14, at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, where the awards ceremony was held. The MIPIM Awards annual contest rewards the best completed and unfinished real estate projects around the world.

The 2024 edition saw the participation of 200 projects from 39 different countries. From these, 40 finalists were identified and, finally, the winners were selected in the ten categories under the award, as well as a Special jury award.

MIPIM, the international trade fair dedicated to the world of real estate, which brings together investors, developers, planners and real estate experts in Cannes every year, took place from March 12 to 15, with a rich program of seminars, debates, awards and meetings. In particular, a new summit focusing on sustainable housing solutions, titled Housing Matters!, was launched this year in collaboration with Co-Liv. During the conference, held on the eve of the fair, possible responses to the growing demand for housing were explored: for example, co-living, build-to-rent and corporate housing models.

This year, the MIPIM Awards jury focused on projects that seek to enhance the built environment’s prospects, in line with ESG goals. The winners were chosen on a 60:40 basis: 60% based on the jury vote, and 40% from the votes cast on-site and on-line by MIPIM delegates.

The six key criteria were overall sustainability, integration of the project in its environment and community, quality of the user experience, economic contribution, originality of the concept, and architectural qualities.
