Our quality of living today is the result of the encounter between virtuous supply chains, new knowledge and technologies that allow the creation of harmony between inhabited spaces and the built environment. Key components of this quality are urban and infrastructural regeneration and the must-haves of contemporary living, guided by new lifestyles: comfort, safety, sustainability and design. Innovation, which encompasses all these components, is the driving force that can provide the necessary impetus for the construction industry to grow and expand once more. The quality of living and its various forms will be at the heart of the ninth edition of MADE expo, the largest international event in Italy for the world of construction and architecture with more than 100,000 visitors and which will be held at Milano-Rho Fiera from 13th to 16th March 2019. MADE expo is intended to be a platform for dialogue where all those involved in every part of the process can come together in one place and contribute to the relaunching of the construction sector in a complex market context.
MADE expo is notable for its specialized format offering four display halls (MADE Construction and Materials, MADE Claddings, Doors and Windows, MADE Interior and Finishes and MADE Software, Technologies and Services) and a busy schedule of technical and cultural training programmes. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover all the latest in specialist equipment and see it in action against a backdrop of ideas and new features while at the same time having access to a vast amount of experience and specific dedicated areas in which they will be able to get to know and even put their hands on the latest top quality products in building, architecture and finishes. This opportunity is certainly appreciated as the satisfaction surveys carried out by Kantar Tns found that 95% of professional visitors were satisfied with their experience in the 2017 edition. The MADE expo conferences and workshops organized by Build Smart will be dedicated to Safety, Comfort, Sustainability and Innovation, in which all the latest solutions and materials will be looked at as components of an integration logic. Particular attention will then be dedicated to the topic of seismic activity, closely related to the concept of territorial safety and where ongoing efforts to reconstruct the earthquake-struck areas of Marche and Abruzzo are still going on. The solutions aimed at prevention and structural reinforcement will be one of the major areas of attention. On another topic, MADE expo also stands out for being a showcase of the best of Made in Italy in architecture and interior design. In order to offer inspiration and suggestions related to this sector, the 2019 edition will host an exclusive exhibition/event in collaboration with ELLE DECOR and the architects Calvi Brambilla. The international Archmarathon Selections Architecture Competition will also contribute to highlighting the best projects by putting 30 national and international studies in competition with each other in 13 different categories.
The 2019 edition of MADE expo, which has developed a close working collaboration with ANCE and its main associations as well as different partnerships with the most prestigious Italian universities, will also see increasingly close connections with the city of Milan and nationally renowned institutions such as the Triennale. An accelerator of ideas for revitalizing the sector "We are getting very positive feedback from the leading companies in the various sectors, consolidating our role as a provider of common ground for our sector" says Massimo Buccilli, President of MADE expo. "We also want to be seen as an "accelerator of ideas " and to do this we are also working to organize an important conference on the theme of infrastructure regeneration involving leading institutional figures and representatives from some of the foremost construction and materials associations. In addition the period during which the event is being held will also be conducive to assessing the effects of the planned extension of the Fiscal Bonus until the end of next year so as to encourage restructuring/renovation and the energy efficiency of technical cladding materials" concluded Buccilli. Towards new markets The attracting of international visitors is one of the priorities of the 2019 edition of MADE expo. The synergy with the ICE Agenzia contributes to this end and supported the event during the last two editions. This strategic collaboration aims to encourage the qualified arrival of about 170 professional prescribers, legislators and buyers from the main areas of interest such as Europe, the Emirates, Russia, America, China and North Africa who will meet exhibitors in the International Business Lounge and at the stands. This initiative is intended to work in parallel with a significant promotional campaign aimed at raising awareness of the event outside Italy in Europe, Middle Eastern countries, the Emirates and the Mediterranean basin plus through road shows that will involve North Africa, France, Switzerland and Russia. There are a number of initiatives designed to make the experience of visitors from Italy and abroad both easy and pleasant: as well as special rates for tickets on rail and air links, there will also be instruments available to preview innovative products and plan visiting itineraries to suit individual and specific interests.
