Victoria + Albert, a House of Rohl brand, has unveiled Ledro. This freestanding bathtub combines reduced water consumption with designer looks to add a touch of sophistication to the bathroom. To achieve this, the firm drew upon its expertise in ergonomics and material innovation.
The product, which takes its name from Lake Ledro, just a few kilometers from Riva del Garda, reflects the designers’ goal to achieve maximum functionality, despite the tub’s small water capacity, while refusing to make any compromises in terms of comfort.
The tub’s soft, enveloping lines, paired with compliance with BREEM and Unified Water Label guidelines, mean it has a nominal capacity of just 180 liters and a functional capacity of 125.
The lines of this new Victoria + Albert product are enveloping and innovative. A slipper bathtub, Ledro has generous proportions and measures 1.67 meters in length. With a width of 0.705 meters at the widest point, it provides plenty of shoulder room. Its internal shape makes it comfortable to recline, with a space removed on the bottom to make room to rest your knees. None of these refinements inside the tub, however, affect its external design, which remains sleek and elegant.
An innovative feature is the choice of materials, with Ledro made using the proprietary QuarrycastTM, produced using ground Volcanic Limestone™ rock mixed with high-quality resins to bind the strands into a complex 3D matrix. Available in Blanco Gloss and Standard Opaco finishes, Ledro is built to last.
