The MIPIM (Marché International des Professionnels d'Immobilier) has revealed the finalists of the MIPIM Awards 2022 edition. The jury has selected 46 projects from all around the world, including six Italian works. The winners will be announced at the MIPIM Awards ceremony, on Thursday 17 March at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.
MIPIM Awards 2022
The appointment with MIPIM Awards 2022 is fast approaching, as the international real estate event takes place from the 15 to the 18 of March in Cannes, France, with a rich program of speeches, panels, awards and in-person networking events. In the meantime, 46 outstanding development projects from 21 countries have been shortlisted by the 13-member jury of the competition, composed by real estate experts. The winners will be announced at the MIPIM Awards ceremony on Thursday 17 March starting at 18.30 in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals. The winners will be selected by both the jury’s and MIPIM registered delegates’ votes, cast online and on site. In addition, the jury will award one additional prize – the ‘Special Jury Award’, which goes to their favorite project among all.

The finalists of MIPIM Awards 2022
The finalists in each of the 12 competition categories of MIPIM Awards 2022 have been selected among hundreds of entries. In addition to usual criteria – such as originality of the concept, architectural and environmental qualities, integration of the project in its environment and community – this year the jury also took into account the way projects deal with the impact of the pandemic on everyday life. The largest number of candidates heading to Cannes belongs to France, which has seven finalist projects. Italy follows with six projects, then UK with five, Belgium and Denmark with three each, and U.S., China and Spain having two each.

MIPIM Awards Jury Chairman, François Trausch, said:
“The projects selected for the 2022 MIPIM Awards largely followed this year’s MIPIM theme of ‘driving urban change’ not only by being more sustainable, but also being more accessible and enjoyable. What impressed the Jury most was the diversity and creativity of the projects submitted, a hallmark of our European cities and an important factor for buildings that are developed today for tomorrow’s communities”.
