APPLICATION TO FRUIT EXHIBITION 4 NOW OPEN

Open to publishers, artists, musicians, designers, distributors and printers, fruit festival will take place from the 29th to the 31th January 2016 in Bologna, Palazzo Re Enzo. The event will be on the same days as Artefiera 2016, celebrating next year its 40th anniversary. Fruit is a project by crudo with the sponsorship of bologna city council.
Applications are now open for the publishers market of Fruit Exhibition 4, the international festival of graphic design, arts and music independent and self-publishing. The call is addressed to self-publishers, graphic designers, artists, distributors, printers and creative professionals working on independent pubication and new formats.

To be considered for the selection, all application must be received by Saturday, 5th September 2015.
Fruit is the only Italian fair featuring both paper and digital works, including art publications, catalogues, graphic projects, magazines, paper-products and zines.
Last year the market featured 80 national and international exhibitors and gathered about 6000 visitors during the 3 days of the festival. It presented 10 workshops and a number of conference also featuring guest stars such as Dutch Irma Boom and Italian Leonardo Sonnoli.
Finally, the III edition also featured the exhibition, (RE)DEFINING DESIGN, an international group show exploring contemporary graphic design and art publishing
As last year, the festival program will be divided in 3 parts, each one having a dedicated day for itself: self-publishing and self-production, comparing national and international experiences, new and well-known publishers; New publishing  techniques and new media, from digital publishing to multimedia, also including  apps, e-books, web-zines and motiongraphic design; Graphic design as national and international heritage: the issues of being accepted as art and culture professionals, liaising with public and private institutions, art and culture communication, project managing and communication.
Fruit Exhibition 4 will feature an independent international publishers market, an innovative program of conferences and talks with a number of professionals from the art and publishing world, adults and children workshops, music performances and the collection of material for Fruit Library.
This year new entry is a full program of collateral events starting in September 2015 and that will run up until the festival at the end of January 2016. First "on stage" will be Fruit Landscape, presenting 1 exhibition in the beautiful spaces of the Archiginnasio Library and a series of events to take place at the Greenhouse in Giardini Margherita city park. French artist and graphic designer Jules Julien solo show will be on in the Archiginnasio Library, where the French artist will show his Blasons Français series besides some unreleased new artworks.
