Fendi’s 2024–25 fall/winter menswear collection features some innovative crossovers between architecture and fashion. Collaboration between the luxury fashion brand and MAD Architects, led by Ma Yansong, has transformed the Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU bag and given birth to the new Fendi MAD sneakers.
Both products explore the dualism between humans and nature through a futuristic lens. They were unveiled at Fendi’s 2024–25 fall/winter menswear fashion show in Milan on January 13, 2024.
Under the creative guidance of Silvia Venturini Fendi, artistic director of accessories and menswear, Fendi establishes multidisciplinary collaborations with leading architecture studios like MAD as a way of celebrating the links between design, architecture, luxury, and fashion.
On the iconic Peekaboo ISeeU bag, a varnished aluminum handle enhances the bag’s shape to mirror MAD’s organic architectural style. The normally flat surfaces have mutated into sculpted waves that create a fluid movement that terminates at the bag’s bottom right corner.
Two versions are available: Peekaboo ISeeU Medium in black Cuoio Romano leather with matte aluminum details and glossy blue inserts, and Peekaboo ISeeU Small in dove gray Cuoio Romano leather with glossy yellow aluminum inserts.
Reflecting Fendi’s avant-garde vision of men’s footwear, the slip-on sneaker has an injection-molded sole and upper decorated with two-tone bubble details and metallic accents. Discreet and essential elastic laces over the mesh tongue blend into the wavy uppers, while the logo appears beneath a transparent bubble on the side.
To pair them with the Peekaboo ISeeU bags, the sneakers are available in three colorways: dove gray with yellow details, black with midnight blue, and white with silver accents.
