Discovering the World of the Prancing Horse in a Flexible, Modular Space

For six months, the house where Enzo Ferrari was born and the exhibition gallery dedicated to the Ferrari marque and Modena area’s motorsports tradition had a special hi-tech space to enrich the visitor experience along a complementary path in a safe and flexible environment, without consuming any land.

Capsule, as it is called, is the first application of an independent module conceived by Manni Group to a sophisticated design that has only a minimal impact on its surroundings.

Capsule is a modular space that adapts to a variety of functions. It may be relocated over time to cater to changing needs. Each component lends itself to multiple uses, from residential to office, retail and hospitality.

Four prefabricated modules were installed in a line outdoors at the Enzo Ferrari Museum, each equipped to cater to a different function: initial access via a visitor welcome module, and then on to the heart of the structure, in an open space set up as a conference room.

Capsule is the culmination of a variety of Manni Group technologies. Engineered by Manni Green Tech, Capsule leverages the esthetics of an Isopan envelope, the quality of Manni Sipre steel structures, and Manni Energy’s leading-edge IoT solutions from its Maetrics portfolio.

Dry system manufactured, this off-site steel prefabrication process reorganizes technologies and processes for greater efficiency and quality, as well as bringing down lead times.

Starting with climatic comfort, the interior is all about high standards: a chimney effect ensures thermal insulation and continuous air exchange, augmented by sandwich panel cladding and zone regulated cooling and heating systems.

Ventilated façade system cladding ensures increased insulation for the inner walls, which also benefit from an additional dry-lined mineral wool insulation layer.
