Design by Steffen Kehrle

The 14-sided house is made entirely from the ultra-compact Dekton® surface; more than 120 custom-made slabs of different sizes with a total surface area of 250m2 are used to create the interior and exterior walls, the floor and ceiling, as well as a continuous circular bench and a table. In collaboration with a structural engineering office and a metalworking firm, designer Steffen Kehrle has developed a solution by which the Dekton® slabs can be hooked to the steel frame without any visible joints or connections: blind holes were drilled into the 1.2cm thick slabs and, using a special adhesive, sleeves were glued to the holes. The sleeves can be easily hooked into the steel frame.

Developed by Cosentino’s in-house R&D department, innovative ‘Technology of Sinterized Particles (TSP)’ allows the production of large-format slabs (1.44 x 3.20m) in any desired colour or finish.
