Internatonal call for Ideas Neapolis - Living as a student
By Editorial Staff -

The contest is open to students of all European and International Schools of Architecture enrolled in bachelor's degree courses, master's degree courses and five year degree courses. The participation can be individual or in team (5 members maximum).
The competition is about the design of university residences, for 300 students in total, in the ancient Neapolis, the heart of the city of Naples. The design experiment aims to find new ways to give an interpretation to the college students’ housing, a theme widely investigated by masters such as Mies Van Der Rohe, Alvar Aalto and Le Corbusier in a unique environment such as that of the greek-Roman city. The project site has undergone many changes and preserves the traces of its ancient past. The main decumanus, Via dei Tribunali, the Croce di Lucca church ruins, the great void created by the demolition of one of the hospital pavilions, and the monumental presence of Pietrasanta and San Pietro a Majella are the references for new interpretations and proposals brought by this competition between young students from different schools of architecture.

Registration open until June, the 26th.
