On Saturday 17 November, in the prestigious Ballroom of Palazzo Vendramin Calergi (Casino) in Venice, the awards ceremony was celebrated for the winners of the international prize iDOGI AWARDS 2018, in the presence of distinguished guests, including diplomatic authorities and leading international figures.
Now in its fourth edition, iDOGI AWARDS is an annual competition for luxury interior designers and architects from worldwide, conceived and promoted by the Venetian company iDOGI®, with the aim of internationally promoting and enhancing the value of classic design. The theme of the competition is “the ability to express the most original interpretation of a classic style in interior design”.
iDOGI AWARDS is an internationally affirmed event, with a panel of judges representing the most authoritative international institutions in the sector. This year’s event was hosted by Vanessa Brady, founder of the Society of British and International Designers, London. It is always an extraordinary occasion of meetings with professionals from the world of international luxury, in which the excellence of Italian style and quality plays a leading role.
For this 2018 edition, many studios took part from different countries: Japan, Indonesia, India, UAE, United Kingdom, Principality of Monaco, China, United States, Russia and of course Italy. Among the many projects submitted, the jury decided on the winners of the individual categories:
- Residential projects under 1,000 sq. m: Studio Crawford Partnership, UK
- Residential projects over 1,000 sq. m: Studio Dahlia Design L.L.C., USA
- Public areas of hotels: Alex Kravetz Design Studio, UK
Two special mentions were also given:
- For the search of a fertile pollination between East and West: Vivianne Faye Studio (Indonesia)
- For a unique and innovative concept of union between tradition and future: Makoto Yamaguchi Design (Japan)
Friday 16 November saw the presentations of all the projects with the related evaluations of the jurors. All the participants visited the headquarters of iDOGI®, to take in the prestigious, unique luminous artistic creations of which iDOGI® is the world leader.
