Mario Cucinella, appointed by MIBACT as curator of the Italian Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, is willing to launch a call for projects-both completed and under development- related with the subject “Arcipelago Italia”.
The objective is to identify practical examples that showcase the role of contemporary architecture in settlements that are quite far from big urban centres and from the dynamics of the metropolitan cities; settlements that are often perceived as marginal.
The Call is open to single professionals or associations, designers or clients willing to present their works (coherent with the above subjects and research objectives) located in the territories belonging to the “internal areas”.
During the first phase, the candidates will be asked to identify their work in accordance with the following four categories: abitare (live), connettere (connect), condividere (share), progredire (progress).
The deadline to take part to the selection is on 10th of July 2017, 12:00 PM.
