The non-profit Lega del Filo d’Oro Foundation has developed 10+ locations nationwide to offer care, education, rehabilitation and independence support to people with deafblindness and multiple psychosensory impairments. This book explores the design, the construction and the definition of the spaces of the new National Center at Osimo. Rossano Bartoli and Patrizia Ceccarani write about the Lega del Filo d’Oro’s history, endeavor and working philosophy. The project is described by Stefano Guidarini (architecture), Maria Raffaella Tamburi (plant equipment, structures and construction) and Alfredo Zengiaro (furnishings). Marco Biraghi gauges the project’s place within the context of contemporary Italian architecture.
