The new  Real Club de Golf El Prat is located on slightly sloping terrain border by rows of pines and cultivated terraces.  Built with environment sensitivity in mind, both golf house and ancillary buildings have been designed to provide maximum accessibility and ease of connection to the golf course.
The functional programme of the whole building complex is the result of in-depth study of the specific features of the location. Low and linear to follow the lie of the land, the hardscape forms three groups – linked but recognisably separate. The central Club House develops on two levels and all elevations enjoy sweeping views over the countryside. Primary access is from the upper level that aligns with the scrubland destined to become the car park. The wide entrance lobby is at the head of the longitudinal distribution axis on either side of which the main admin and social functions are arranged; games rooms, the centrally located bar that passes across a large canopy to a wide patio going round the building; hospitality rooms and restaurant. Office and administrative facilities are more discreetly placed.
The secondary, service entrance of the main building is also directly accessed at the lower level. A central atrium leads off to the main utilities and sports areas for club members: very spacious changing rooms, set at opposite ends of the atrium that also serve as relaxation and leisure areas; sauna, Turkish baths, fitness room and gym. There is also a small café area. This level also has huge parking areas for electric carts, golf bag storage lockers and less accessible technical plant rooms. The other two units, similarly linear in shape, grow out from the sides of the main building, physical continuations of the central nucleus. Close to the Club House are the facilities serving the swimming pool, with changing rooms for members and guests, set on opposite sides of the entrances, outdoor cafeteria and kitchens.
