Designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, Building 337 has an interior comprising two interlocking spirals organized around a spacious central atrium. Challenging the traditional floor-by-floor separation of office spaces, the building has 46 levels that form one uninterrupted environment connected by sloped walkways making the transition between levels imperceptible. The two spirals each end with an outdoor terrace, providing occupants with a connection to the outdoors and a lively gathering space. Amenities, among them a restaurant, are located on the ground floor. A series of conference rooms and lounges on a mezzanine level seem to float above the central atrium space. Like the fluid open-plan work environments, these areas are also entirely illuminated by daylight that filters into the building from an energy-efficient double-glazed photovoltaic skylight and curtain walls. The fully glazed conference room partition walls ensure different degrees of privacy: the glass panels remain transparent or can be made translucent by means of a low-voltage current.

The building’s sustainability goals are all met thanks to its outer skin but also on account of a mechanical chilled-beam system and perforated photovoltaic cells that filter light through the skylight below.
