The fusion between elegance and design comes to life in the new rooms realized by Flaviano Capriotti Architetti for Park Hyatt Milano, the five-star luxury hotel located in the heart of Milan, near the Duomo and with direct access to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Flaviano Capriotti, who had already designed the Mio Lab Cocktail Bar and the Pellico 3 restaurant within the same facility, oversaw the esthetic and functional redevelopment of 32 rooms and suites. The five Signature Suites stand out among them: Duomo, Montenapoleone, Brera, Solferino, and Fiori Chiari.
Inspired by postwar masters and traditional materials, the designer has created authentic and luxurious environments, in which soft, enveloping nuances express a subtle luxury, without ostentation. The suites, of various sizes, share a structural, material, and stylistic esthetic, which celebrates the timeless sophistication of the city of Milan.
The rooms feature a neutral color palette, and fine materials such as solid oak, which lines the rooms, and Verde Alpi marble, used in the bathrooms, give the spaces a discreet elegance. Pearl gray silk wallpaper, combined with blond Italian walnut paneling, recalls ancient silk-making techniques, while touches of yellow and orange evoke the hues of the sky at sunrise and sunset. Petrol green, which is very popular in the interiors of Milanese homes, was added to give a distinctive touch to the spaces, and designer furnishings were selected, including Albini bookcases, Caccia Dominioni armchairs, Mangiarotti marble consoles, Gio Ponti sofas, and Enzo Mari tables.
Art is a key element within the suites, which are embellished by works by sculptor Mattia Bosco and paintings by Natale Addamiano and Santeri Tuori. The lighting was designed to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, favoring warm tones to highlight the details. Guests are immersed in a space in which the light is so soft and natural as to be almost imperceptible.
The building’s main floor houses the Brera Suite: the flagship of the hotel, it spans 100 sq. m and features 4-m-high ceilings. The room overlooks the glass dome of the 19th century courtyard, providing a romantic and evocative view. The interconnected Solferino and Fiori Chiari Suites are located on the same floor, covering a total area of 140 sq. m. Meticulously curated down to the smallest details, they feature a color palette dominated by the dark tones of the parquet, enlivened by touches of petrol green in the curtains and couches.
The Montenapoleone and Duomo Suites, both located on the sixth floor, are characterized by a close connection between indoor and outdoor, with direct access to terraces, living rooms with large windows, and veranda portions. The Montenapoleone Suite, extending 180 sq. m with a 35 sq. m terrace, offers ample and bright spaces, while the Duomo Suite, with a total area of 130 sq. m and a terrace of 30 sq. m, enjoys a unique view of the Madonnina and includes a jacuzzi on the terrace, for a complete relaxation experience.
