Home Efficiency & Technology Special Contest

The "Home Efficiency & Technology" Special Contest is a design award. Promoted in partnership with Mitsubishi Electric, it is one of the prizes of The Plan Award.

The contest encompasses projects that combine technology and architecture to provide energy efficient, environmentally sustainable solutions, with particular emphasis on the use of renewable energy heating and cooling systems.

Both built and future residential projects - new build, redevelopment or restoration - may be submitted.

Registration and submission period: 24 February > 30 June 2020 (inclusive).

Thanks to the Partnership with Mitsubishi Electric, the enrolment is free. Registration and submission period: from 24th February > until 30th June 2020 (inclusive). To complete the enrolment, candidates are requested to be registered on The Plan website and logged in. Once logged, candidates are able proceed with the next phase of uploading the requested material.

Individuals or groups of students and/or professionals - in the fields of architecture and design - may enter the Mitsubishi Special Contest and each individual or group may compete with one or more completed projects.

The 2020 jury of the Home Efficiency & Technology Special Contest, sponsored in partnership with Mitsubishi Electric as part of The Plan Award design competition, will be composed of important names from the world of architecture and Mitsubishi itself:

The ceremony for the winners of “Home Efficiency & Technology” Special Contest will take during The Plan Award 2020 Final Ceremony.
