Sage and Coombe Architects approaches every project with insight, intelligence, humor, patience and flexibility. Since 1995, the office has designed and managed construction of public spaces, buildings, renovations, and installations. During that time the office has cultivated a team of complementary professionals devoted to building great architecture within the constraints of practical realities. Sage and Coombe Architects has been asked by a number of public agencies to design dozens of projects throughout the five boroughs of New York. Twice selected for the “Design Excellence Program” of both the NYC Departments of Parks and Recreation and Design and Construction, their work has encompassed everything from prefabricated comfort stations delivered by truck to the largest project ever undertaken by the Parks Department - the development of Ocean Breeze Park. Other public clients include the FDNY, NYC Department of Environmental Protection, and NYC Economic Development Corporation. Their work for the public has been honored with numerous design awards and praised by critics. Currently, Sage and Coombe is engaged with clients that also include the Buckley School, St. Francis College, City and Country School and the Greater Newark Conservancy.
