Leers Weinzapfel Associates is a Boston based practice distinguished by an exceptional quality of design founded on a commitment to the public realm and to the craft of building. When Jane Weinzapfel and Andrea Leers founded the firm in 1982. The firm’s award-winning projects include The Social Sciences and Classroom Buildings at the University of Connecticut, the University of Cincinnati Student Services Pavilion, the University of Pennsylvania Chiller Plant, and the MBTA Operations Control Center in Boston. Currently, the firm is working on a new Integrated Design Building at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, the East Regional Chiller Plant for The Ohio State University, and a new performing arts complex at Salem State University. Recently completed projects are the new Paul S. Russell, MD Museum of Medical History and Innovation at Massachusetts General Hospital, and the Oak and Laurel Halls Classroom Buildings at the University of Connecticut.
