MAB Arquitectura is an architectural firm founded by Floriana Marotta and Massimo Basile in 2004 and based in Milan and Barcelona. MAB works within the private and public field, moving between planning at urban and landscape scale and the architecture of residential and cultural buildings, schools and offices. Actually MAB is working on masterplans for brownfields and on social housing projects focused on technological and typological innovation. The Social Housing and Public Park project in via Gallarate in Milan and the Patronage Laïque Cultural Centre in Paris were awarded with National InArch/ANCE Prize in 2010 and 2014, with the honourable mention in CNAPPC “Italian Architecture Young Talent 2014” and with the nomination at Mies Van der Rohe Award 2011. MAB’s work was exhibited at the XII and XIV Biennale of Architecture in Venice( 2010 and 2014), in Paris at the Pavillon de l’Arsenal and at the Cité de l’ Architecture et du Patrimoine, at MAXXI in Rome.
