The architecture office CeZ Calderan Zanovello Architetti was founded in Bolzano in 2003 by Carlo Calderan and Rinaldo Zanovello after winning the competition for the new Primary School of Sterzing completed in 2010. Since then the office has been participating in more than 80 competitions winning many prizes. The office follows directly every step of the planning, including the construction site management, the design of the furniture and the exterior components. The following projects have been recently completed: the new primary school and the renovation of the former restaurant Aquila Nera in Tubre, an underground garage with an area with leisure time equipment in Luson, the primary school and the planetarium in San Valentino in Campo. Now the works in progress are: the Town Hall in Tubre, the Library with Sheltered Workshop in San Martino in Passiria, the renovation of the Town Hall in Bressanone, the School Canteen and the Ice Stadium in Brunico, the Aula Magna of the school complex in Salorno, the House for the cultural associations in Scaleres (in cooperation with the office Stifter+Bachmann), and the new day care centre for Alzheimer patients in Castelfranco Veneto (with the architect Martina Davanzo). In 2011 the office won the 2011 South Tyrol Architecture Prize with the new Primary School of Sterzing.
