They founded 5+1 in 1995 and since then they have been dealing with design in its different thematic and functional declinations carrying out several projects in Italy and France. The studio, that became 5+1AA agenzia di architettura in 2005, is based on a interdisciplinary relationship that develops itself between the studios of Genoa, Milan (2006) and Paris (2007), creating a daily dialogue between cities, cultures and confrontation. In 2015, the Agency won the competition for the construction of a student housing, a hotel and a building of offices in Créteil-l’Echat for the Société Grand Paris, for a Master Plan in El Sokhna, Egypt and won the competition of “Dallara Automobili” for the construction of a training and exhibition centre in Varano Melegari, Parma. Founded in Paris in January 2001, The PietriArchitectes firm has now completed twenty buildings for both public and private clients. In the Rue de Valois office in the centre of Paris, the firm’s staff work on all types of programmes throughout France, with extensive experience in housing. Other specific work by PietriArchitectes is in High-rise buildings, such as the Horizontal Tower in Milan (completed), La Noue in Bagnolet (design in progress), and the tower block in Marseille (soon due to start construction). PietriArchitectes propose contemporary architecture integrated into its setting, with mellow modernity as opposed to radical reconstruction.
