Stefano Pujatti was born in 1968 and raised in north-eastern Italy. He graduated in architecture from Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia and earned his M.Arch. at Sci-Arch in Los Angeles, California. He has lived in Chieri since 1996. After working for Coop-Himelblau in Los Angeles (1993-94) and Gino Valle Architetti in Paris (1994-95), he co-founded Studio Elastico. He currently heads ELASTICOSPA.
Stefano work has been shown in several national and international exhibitions, and featured in books and reviews. In 2006 he was awarded the national INARCH-ANCE prize.
Pujatti lectured at the Facoltà di Architettura 1, Turin Polytechnic, from 2004 to 2010. He has also lectured internationally and been invited to act as speaker and guest critic at various universities around the world, including RMIT in Melbourne, Hosei University in Tokyo, and Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio (Switzerland).
His studio has been invited to participate in important international events, including the XII Venice Biennale of Architecture (2010), the London Festival of Architecture (2008), the X Venice Biennale of Architecture (2006), and the V Architectural Biennale in Brasilia (2006). In addition to publications in architectural books and reviews, in 2008 his monograph Rare Architecture was published by Maggioli.
