Two residences in Moscow and London, designed by ADDburo and Bergman Design House respectively, combine the historical grandeur of the buildings with a modern and refined vision. The design studios behind these projects have crafted elegant and sophisticated environments where every detail is thoughtfully conceived to enhance the historical essence of the project, resulting in living spaces that convey luxury, functionality, and a profound respect for the past.
Nestled in the heart of a prestigious historical district in Moscow, a 19th-century residence has been transformed and renovated by ADDburo studio, led by Inna Zavyalova. The project harmonizes the charm of historic architecture with contemporary design elegance, creating an urban retreat that combines style, comfort, and functionality.
Constructed in the early 1800s and later refurbished at the end of the century, this eclectic residence underwent a meticulous restoration process. The façade, adorned with classical and historical details, was preserved to maintain the architectural integrity of the building.
Spanning 500 m² across multiple levels, the residence provides ample space to accommodate the diverse needs of a family.
The interiors include spacious living areas, a dining room, bedrooms, and relaxation spaces. The layout is designed to ensure a seamless flow between common areas and private zones, addressing daily family life while offering moments of intimacy.
The project stands out for its custom-made details, including plaster moldings, wall panels, and bespoke furniture such as bed niches, an arched window, and cozy corners in the study. These elements blend aesthetics, functionality, and comfort, while tailored textiles, accessories, and vintage lighting sourced from European markets add character and warmth.
A neutral color palette of soft tones paired with deep blues is complemented by premium materials such as marble, brass, and wood. The carefully curated artworks, selected in collaboration with the homeowners, play a central role in creating a harmonious dialogue with the architecture, resulting in a sophisticated and personalized space.

Located in Kensington Gore, one of London’s most prestigious neighborhoods, this residence celebrates the Queen Anne Revival style and the rich cultural heritage of the British capital. Designed by Bergman Design House, the 195 m² home blends 19th-century historical richness with elegant contemporary design.
Set in a building from 1879 designed by R. Norman Shaw, the residence overlooks Hyde Park and the Royal Albert Hall. The Victorian façade, adorned with decorative balconies and ornate arches, stands as a true symbol of London’s architectural tradition.
The residence has been completely reimagined to meet the needs of modern living, featuring three en-suite bathrooms, a guest powder room, and a spacious open-plan area that integrates the living and dining spaces for maximum comfort and functionality.
The entrance greets visitors with a panoramic biophilic wall, bringing nature indoors, while a hand-blown glass sconce, inspired by delicate leaves on elegant branches, adds a touch of magic and refinement. This natural motif harmonizes with decorative details inspired by Art Nouveau.
In the living and dining areas, royal blue tones contrast with warm cognac hues, creating a sophisticated and intimate ambiance. The color palette is further enhanced by the use of luxurious materials like wood and marble, which add depth and a sense of opulence to the interiors.
