The Radiant Design Zone System Thermal comfort and energy efficiency

RDZ

Edited By Redazione The Plan - 2 May 2012

The Radiant Design Zone heating and cooling system by RDZ combines a radiant system - underfloor or ceiling-and-wall - , an air handling unit and a thermoregulation system, so optimizing energy consumption and ensuring comfortable living environments. This high-efficiency floor or ceiling-and-wall radiant system has a large heat-exchange surface area, heating or cooling the environment as required for the season. Using this same radiant system for cooling moreover produces even temperatures throughout, avoiding uncomfortable blasts of cold air coming from one point in the room as with other air conditioning systems. The air handling system consists in a series of dehumidifiers for summer, and radiant units for residential and commercial sector use that ensure primary air control. Small RNW dehumidifiers re-circulate and dehumidify the room air during summer. UAP units control primary air and the degree of cooling. RDZ’s Comfort Unit cools the air, periodically refreshing it with new intake from outside. The last component is the thermoregulation system. Equipped with an extendable control panel, this has electronically controlled temperature and humidity sensors for the automatic management of each element to ensure maximum overall efficiency.
