SIMPLICITY OF LINE THAT TRIGGERS STRONG EMOTIONS
Edited By Editorial Staff -

Aware of the link between design and architecture, Simes has always considered materials research and selection as key to developing functional yet unique products. The company looks at natural materials in juxtaposition to light and so is the ideal dialogue partner for designers and architects seeking distinctive outdoor lighting solutions where simplicity of design combines with strong emotional impact.

The “Clothes of Matteo Thun” is the result of the collaboration between Simes and the architect-designer from Trent, northern Italy. The range is a perfect mix of quality, environmental sustainability, aesthetically pleasing raw materials and efficient, latest-generation LED light sources. The three variants - Look Wood, Cool Wood and Skill Wood - combine teak wood and aluminium in different proportions, creating a range of luminaires to meet all outdoor lighting requirements.

The first model, Look Wood, combines aluminium, glass and wood with LED lights for a compact minimalist outdoor fixture. The simple geometrical forms of the second version, Cool Wood, highlight a design of solids and voids created by light reflecting on the teak wood surfaces. The third model, Skill Wood, a new outdoor lamp, mounted almost flush with the wall, creates a warm enveloping atmosphere, also thanks to the combination of aluminium and warm wood. Eco-sustainable and non-glare, this new range of outdoor luminaires blends effortlessly with all settings.
