The memory of the past, the footsteps left by time, the tracks of other stories and many lives have inspired Atlas Concorde's Raw collection, recreating the earthiness of time-worn surfaces in porcelain tiles and white body wall tiles, artfully reproducing the effects of peeling plaster. Raw takes this journey through time and captures its spirit and experiments with new textures and looks. Textured layers, glazes, patinas and ripples are discovered on the walls of ancient buildings, altering the original shade and creating sharp color contrasts due to the different materials present. Surprisingly, reversing the original concept that associates peeling surfaces with walls, the collection is proposed for use on floors as well as on walls. Raw plays with the surprising effects of layered, dynamic, shaded textures, adorning interiors with personality thanks to a language that speaks of today and that is capable of creating evocative atmospheres. On the porcelain floor tiles the glazing, drips, and ripples are not directed, while in the white body wall tiles they are in fact oriented and convey a soft-wall perception thanks to a soft, sculpted surface with a spatula effect that recalls old paintings that the artist has added texture to. Raw's délabré style is the result of a mix of nuances and contrasts that lead to a final result rich in new details: the neutral, raw colors typical of concrete take on a new softness, also due to the presence of unexpected colors in the wall tiles.
