Casa B is a private home in an art nouveau building at the gates to the old heart of the northern Italian town of Imola. The recent restructuring and restyling focused not only on the internal layout and the interior design, but also on the utilities, adding modern technology to ensure a safe, secure and comfortable environment.
The house is spread across four floors, with the revamp touching each one and Edilpiù being called in to upgrade some doors and windows. Prior to the restructuring, the house suffered from a lack of light for the floor below the street level. The addition of large PVC windows completely changed this, opening up the various rooms looking directly onto the courtyard.
The basement-level floor has functional spaces, such as the garage and laundry room, as well as a wellness area and a recreational zone, with a home cinema and games room. It also has an industrial-style kitchen, particularly to cater for dinners held in the large underground garden furnished with an expansive travertine table. A second kitchen on the ground floor, with a worktop exceeding 4 m, allows plenty of room for people to spend time together and eat. The first floor and the attic space have a study and bedrooms, including the main ensuite bedroom.
