Most of the existing projector lamps, in fact, are characterized by a different design of the optical unit compared with the one of the box housing the power supply unit. Since the usual application for this kind of products is a “ designed” place, where the designer mainly wants the projector lamp to be hidden as much as possible, from the beginning Bi-cubo development aimed to create an item which “ disappears ” in the space and the idea to make it be a kind of single box, with squared and compact lines, has been the cornerstone of the work the design team carried out.
Dimensions and Materials
The optical unit of Bi-cubo is deliberately made in one single size, actually in order to obtain a stylistic homogeneous effect even when different models are employed into the same place. What is different is the length of the box housing the power supply unit, depending on different models. Bi-cubo is made of aluminium and steel.
Track Version 230V- One dimension, characterized by an optical unit and a box of power supply of a size. The aesthetical result is a kind of compact “ package” consisting of two blocks placed side by side. Wall and Ceiling Versions - Three dimensions, one similar to the one of the track version, the second with the power supply box being definitely longer than the optical unit and to be installed perpendicularly to the surface, so that the optical unit goes downwards (ceiling installation) or extends itself towards the centre of the place (wall installation) in an significant way; the third one, finally, with a power supply box longer than the optical unit, too, to be installed longitudinally to the wall only, in order to create an oblique lighting and to mark the surface using a geometrical element.
Any place of the service sector in general, but also in home places, given its small dimensions.
Sources of Light
Professional LED from 10W to 17W.
