This B-side, the unexplored face, becomes the protagonist of the collection: the peculiar square textures create a graphic pattern that reveals the geometry of the mosaic playing with the colours and effects of ceramic glazes.
This new expression is based on a new point of view that is perfectly mirrored in the projects:
- change of the traditional point of view from which we look at tiles, to exalt their undiscovered side;
- re-discovery of the raw materials that generate ceramic tiles, looking at them with a new perspective;
- new ways to use light and its interaction with ceramic.
“The analysis of the material, of its features, its “technical” structure, the geometry of the sizes and plasticity are the characteristics that we have chosen to develop this project. – says designer Massimiliano Adami - A considerable effort, some production phases required a lot of experiments and tests, it has been a hard task but the result has totally convinced us that porcelain stoneware mosaics have something new to say.”www.refin.it
