Axor Bouroullec - Feel free to design your own bathroom

The new bathroom collection Axor Bouroullec stems from collaboration between Axor and Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. This complete bathroom system uses light rational shapes and modular units intended to give designer and end-user a really broad range of components with which to create a genuinely personalized bathroom according to functional need, space requirements or individual taste.
The two French designers have gone for hi-tech practicality but equally for emotion and the feel-good factor. The smooth simple non-angular shapes flow like water itself and invite you to relax into a tactile experience.
Centre-piece of the whole collection is the shelf-cum-mixer. The normal plumbing points can be re-arranged at will, as creativity or space considerations dictate. Mounted on the washtable or the wall, the washbasin can be fitted with shelving extras ad lib. The wall-supported basin offers scope for the single-lever, three-hole or wall-mounted mixer group. Nozzles, control knobs, accessories like the soap-dish or toothbrush-rack can be dotted about on vertical or horizontal panels, salvaging an existing bathroom or designing one afresh without a lot of messy building.
Taps that grow out of shelves help personalize the shower corner too and greatly simplify installation. Every Axor Bouroullec unit can adapt to any context and be put to inventive use. The result will be a bathroom with a difference, setting a new fashion in water-dispensing practicality, home comfort and original good looks. Sustainability comes into this collection too: mixer metal is down to a minimum, and the water flow is cut to five litres per minute.
