The office recently published a book called Thirteen Ways of Looking at a House by ORO Editions. Stella Betts is a senior critic at Yale School of Architecture and serves on the Executive Board of Directors of the Architectural League.

Sebastián Irarrázaval

Born in Santiago, Chile, in 1967, he has studied architecture at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) in Santiago and at the Architectural Association in London. He teaches at PUC in Chile and has been visiting professor at various universities, including MIT and IUAV. His works have been exhibited in various exhibitions and biennials and has been widely published in specialized magazines. He has received various distinctions, among them the RIBA International Fellowship, a recognition granted to non-British architects for their contribution to the discipline.

Nicola Leonardi | The Plan

Nicola Leonardi

In 2001, he founded the international architecture and design magazine THE PLAN and in 2003, he created the division THE PLAN Editions, dedicated to volumes and monographs on architecture, design and art. With THE PLAN Media House, he expands the editorial activities to the world of video, through custom-made multimedia projects that involve the protagonists of the entire architecture supply chain. In particular, in 2018, he launched The Architects Series, a format that takes the form of a series of exclusive new videos produced in the headquarters of the studios featured, demonstrating the design methods of key figures on the international architecture scene. In 2010, he launches the international Forum Perspective, a privileged international platform for new business relations in the architecture, Real Estate and the construction world. He is Lecturer at various universities, conferences and events in Italy and abroad, and serves as moderator at architecture-related conferences and events. He currently serves as Jury Member in national and international architecture competitions and awards and supports, as Media Partner, various architectural events.

With over 20 years of practice, she has brought an intellectually open, globally aware, and locally embedded sensibility to her work spanning a wide range of mission-driven cultural projects. After receiving her education in China, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, she co-founded SO – IL with Florian Idenburg in 2008 in New York City, an internationally-recognized architecture and design firm that creates spaces and objects for future culture. Jing Liu has held visiting professorships at Princeton University, UT Austin, Hong Kong University, The New School amongst others, and was named New Generation Leader of Women in Architecture Awards in 2022.

She co-founded Bucholz McEvoy Architects in Dublin (after practicing in New York, Paris, London) after winning an international competition for a low-energy County Hall in 1996. Since then the practice has completed other award-winning civic projects, following a holistically sustainable design approach that is also site-specific. The practice has been published and exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Architecture Biennale and in Germany, Italy, France and the USA. She has been guest critic/lecturer at various Schools of Architecture in Ireland, Germany, Spain (IE Segovia) and the USA (Harvard GSD).

Taraneh Meshkani

Assistant Professor of Architecture and Urban Design at Kent State University, Senior Editor The Plan Journal

Assistant Professor at Kent State University's College of Architecture & Environmental Design, and Senior Editor of The Plan Journal, she holds a doctoral degree from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. As a former editorial board member of New Geographies Journal and the co-editor in-chief of Geographies of Information, her work explores the intersection of spatial inequalities and conflict with socio-political and environmental issues. Through her research, she sheds light on the impact of the built environment on marginalized communities and explores strategies for addressing these disparities.

He teaches at IUAV in Venice and at Cornell University. He has taught at I.I.T. in Chicago, at Pamplona University and at Politecnico di Milano. He is director of the online magazine Viceversa.

Abeer Seikaly

She is a Jordanian-Palestinian interdisciplinary thinker and maker, who works across architecture, design, fine art and cultural production. Her practice is grounded in "acts of memory": journaling, documenting, archiving and collecting. She weaves "narrative threads" from these memories. Abeer draws inspiration from traditional knowledge in the Arab homeland. She views her practice as a social technology for cultural empowerment. Her recent works center indigenous Bedouin practices, to recover the intimacy of handmaking. She travels to Jordan’s Badia (desert), where she engages in Bedouin women’s craftsmanship of textile weaving.

Michael Webb

Hon. AIA/LA, he has authored 25 books on architecture and design, most recently Architects' Houses, Building Community: New Apartment Architecture, and a memoir, Moving Around: A Lifetime of Wandering, while editing and contributing essays to a score of monographs. He is also a regular contributor to leading journals in the United States, Asia and Europe. Growing up in London, he was an editor at The Times and Country Life, before moving to the U.S., where he directed film programs for the American Film Institute through the 1970s and curated a Smithsonian exhibition on the history of the American cinema.

Dean and Professor of history, theory and criticism at Tongji University’s College of Architecture and Urban Planning, he has lectured widely on contemporary Chinese architecture and urbanism and published on these topics in international architecture journals. He has been a visiting scholar at MIT, a fellow at MAK Center of Art and Architecture in Los Angeles, and a visiting professor at TU Darmstadt. He has curated the Chengdu and Shenzhen Biennale exhibitions, among various distinctions.

Full Professor of architectural history and theories at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning and Deputy Editor-in-chief of the Heritage Architecture journal published by Tongji University. Her field of research is on architecture and urbanism in contemporary China, especially focusing on modern architecture and transformation of urban space in Shanghai. She published articles and books on these topics. She was one member of curator team of the China Pavilion at the 2018 International Architecture Exhibition in Venice and has been a visiting scholar at Columbia University.
