The idea for the project originated from the vision of creating a versatile and functional space for promoting Reserva Santa Fe residential. The main objective was to develop a building that not only served as a sales center but could also adapt to various functions, fostering gastronomic events, board meetings for the executive team, and providing a welcoming environment for client visits.

The concept evolved as we explored the needs and expectations of the target audience, as well as the distinctive features of the residential development and the Living Building Challenge Certificacion. Detailed analyses were conducted to understand how the space could be effectively utilized, both in terms of marketing and customer experience.

The delicate framework of Pabellon de la Reserva, characterized by its nuanced structure and cantilevered eaves rendered in an ash-green hue, gracefully dissolves the boundaries of the project, serving as a subtle frame for the natural surroundings. In this symbiotic dispotition, the architectural structure organizes space and engenders a rhythm that echoes the very fabric of its context. Symbolically, the modules of the project reinterpret the grandeur of the seven lakes that surround its location, drawing inspiration from the cosmic worldview cherished by the Otomi culture.

Passive climate control strategies and novel technologies find seamless integration within the construction materials and systems, effectively harnessing closed-loop cycles of natural resources. In the pursuit of creating a project that attains complete autonomy, generating its own energy consumption and fulfilling hydraulic demands, while adhering to the stringent material traceability requirements stipulated by the Living Building Challenge Certification, strategic measures were employed. These included the integration of solar cells, an urban rooftop garden, the incorporation of wetlands and rain water capture filters to harness and optimize this vital resource. To foster regional sustainability, 67.66% of the construction materials were procured from sources within a 500-km radius.

Nestled in Reserva Santa Fe, Pabellon de la Reserva epitomizes a balanced lifestyle, seamlessly blending with nature just minutes away from Mexico City. Overcoming challenges in architectural design, the project aligns with the Living Building Challenge, harmonizing material specifications, design, and sustainability technologies. The ash-green hued structure gracefully integrates with the Otomi-Mexica forest, symbolically reflecting Otomi culture and the surrounding lakes.

An unwavering commitment to ecological considerations defines Pabellón de la Reserva, embracing the Golden Section in design for optimal responses to climatic conditions. It integrates passive climate control, solar cells, and urban gardens, aiming for complete autonomy in energy consumption and hydraulic demands. The project minimizes its carbon footprint through conscious material selection, sourcing 67.66% locally within a 500-kilometer radius and upholding sustainability standards in all wooden elements.

Pabellon de la Reserva invites users on a transformative journey, blurring boundaries between built and natural environments. It represents a living, regenerative building, pushing the boundaries of architectural exploration. Through its synthesis of innovation, cultural inspiration, and ecological responsibility, the project stands as a beacon for sustainable and transformative building design, reshaping perceptions of inhabiting and engaging with spaces.

Reserva Santa Fe, one of the most significant regenerative projects in Latin America, teamed up with the architectural firm HEMAA to develop the Reserva Pavilion based on a bioclimatic design. In addition to utilizing first-generation technologies, the project incorporates principles of sustainable architecture.
