The lot, located in the second line with respect to the road network of Via Andrea Costa and previously used as a car body shop, is weakened by the condition of temporal disuse and the consequent impoverishment of the buildings. The design idea stems from the purpose of redeveloping the environmental heritage and the volumes surveyed into which the new residential function is grafted. The concept is based on the design of the planimetric composition that requires the preservation of the location of a pair of buildings as they are subject to documentary protection.

The buildings contain five single-family housing units on two levels, of which the upper one is a mezzanine. The common areas are registered only in the open space of the lot.

The project in the lot of Via Andrea Costa is an environmental redevelopment project due to the disorderly spread of worn-out buildings, the results of progressive adjustments to the tasks claimed by the exercise of the original craft activity, a car body shop.
Therefore, the benefits provided by the project in favor of the surrounding landscape and the urban surroundings are evident.
In particular, the environmental healthiness of the very popular cycle and pedestrian path aligned with the north side of the lot between the boundary of the Certosa Monumentale and a branch of the Reno river rises.

The project includes the reclamation of the subsoil in terms of purification from hydrocarbon deposits and energy saving with the installation of photovoltaic and solar thermal panels on sloping roof surfaces. The urban planning provisions do not allow the burial of the private car in the parking lot, which is therefore identified on the surface.

I don't review my projects or the main features that distinguish it; everyone can express their own evaluation through the evidence of the documentation that hands down the finished work.

The architectural composition must increasingly relate to regulations rather than space. And as a result, design research is forced to reduce itself to the condition of limiting that strategy of compromise that is also managing to involve architecture through a tragic, now consolidated, way of thinking and living, a way that satisfies nothing and no one.
