Fluid elegance and inner harmony: these are the concepts that, echoing the stylistic and material quality of the fabrics, inspired the concept for the FLAIR boutique in the centre of Bressanone.
Enclosed within historical walls, the store extends over two floors, with a fine vaulted ceiling embellishing the mezzanine floor.
The interior design finds its fulcrum in the staircase, a plastic-sculptural element that, ‘sliding’ from one floor to the next, materialises the reference to fluidity, offering it to the intuition of the attentive observer. The lighting concept and the choice of sophisticated shades and materials complete the effect, aimed at enveloping the customer in a space that radiates the welcoming harmony of a living room.

The project is located in the historic centre of Brixen, in one of the busiest shopping streets. The interventions are punctual and minimally invasive, respecting the historical elements and artistic value. The renovation included in particular the new shop window towards the Bastioni Maggiori a new vertical connection between the ground and first floor. The materials, lighting and furnishing elements enhance the interior spaces in a conscious dialogue between old and new.
The project aims to safeguard the structures and spirit of the existing building. The thick existing walls are treated with care by local workers, limiting demolition and protecting the walls with a coating of lime plaster. As the building is under environmental protection, it was agreed with the superintendence not to disrupt the existing technology. The building has no critical issues with regard to energy saving.
The application of a dominant material such as lime plaster lends a unique lightness to the rooms, leaving the customers and their interaction with the spaces as protagonists.
The stainless steel shelves and hangers introduce a deliberate detachment to elevate the products to absolute protagonists. The lighting concept and the choice of sophisticated shades and materials complete the effect, aimed at enveloping the customer in a space that radiates the welcoming harmony of a living room.
Of particular note is also the staircase, which in addition to being a functional element, introduces curvilinear elements that characterise the space in a refined manner.

ASAGGIO. The two architects met during their joint studies in Innsbruck and Florence. They graduated together with honors, obtaining the highest marks for their thesis on the railway area of Bolzano, under the supervision of Prof. Marino Moretti. In 2012 they founded the architecture studio ASAGGIO, acronym of the two names and literal expression of their philosophy, embodied by an aesthetic-architectural concept as contemporary as it is shrewd. A mutual inspiration which, through the many projects carried out together, has evolved into a common path called ASAGGIO. A turning point towards a new perspective on architecture, in which each project places the individual at the center. Love for design and creative passion go hand in hand with the desire to carry out each project to the highest quality standards. But the search for quality does not end with the choice of innovative materials and methods.
