The project is in a complex with more than 100 similar villas and all houses are made of bricks with hipped roofs. The owner of the house wants to add more ground floor use and a bedroom on the 1st floor. While enlarging the villa, we enlarged the structure by preserving and extending the existing roof slope, so that the new structure was designed without ignoring the architecture of the old structure.An additional floor was added to the single-storey building at the back, and by extending it 3 meters towards the front, 2 new rooms were added on the upper floor. The part of the garden with a car park was moved to the side plot boundary and a pool was designed in the front garden.

There are 2-storey brick houses in the surrounding area. Instead of creating a design that contradicts the architecture of these buildings, an architectural relationship was established with the roof slope of the existing building and other buildings. In all houses, the car park is located in front of the house and prevents the use of the garden. The new car park design we have made sets an example for better garden use among other houses.

Our project is a design that respects the existing surrounding structures and original architecture. While the building becomes a completely new structure, it maintains its connection with its past. A better use of land and structure has been achieved.The most difficult part here is to preserve the language unity in the region with the additions to be made. By adding re-flooring on the single-storey area at the back, 3 rooms were obtained instead of 2 rooms on the upper floor. 2 rooms facing the front façade have been expanded forward with the annex building to the front. The car parking area on the front of the house has been rearranged in the neighboring parcel. A swimming pool was designed in the place where there was a car parking area ahead of it. The servant's room and bathroom, which were located in the main mass in the original house, were designed outside and a water tank area was designed on it. Along with this servant building, a second kitchen was designed outside for the house. The terrace area, which is small on the ground floor, was further expanded with the addition made to extend the upper floor. The additional room on the 1st floor at the back is designed to follow the roof slope. This part was made in black to ensure its separation from the brick structure and its harmony with it.The small spaces on the ground floor were demolished to create clearer spaces.
