The special steel area of Wusong Innovation City, where the project is located, as a traditional manufacturing distrct in Shanghai, is realizing the transformation from "industrial park" to "comprehensive urban area". Based on the concept of the crown and lighthouse leading to the future intelligent manufacturing, the design activates the industrial heritage and promotes the regional transformation on the basis of completed industrial park. Combined with the two high-rise buildings under construction, it forms a brand new skyline of North Shanghai. In the context of Shanghai's transformation, the project will reproduce the glory of this industrial downtown and continue the "steel myth".

The project and two adjacent skyscrapers serve as the CBD, and form a differentiated strategic positioning with the Baoshan Station Hub and the Long Beach Sightseeing Tower. The three potential energy gathering momentum can lay a stable foundation for the future development of Baoshan. Within the scope of the site, the living supporting function of the podium is arranged in the north side of the tower, forming regional linkage with the historic buildings on the north side and the exhibition function of retained buildings on the southeast side. At the same time, the design encloses a central square space with a high vitality interface on the east side of the site to stimulate the vitality of the park.
In terms of overall planning, the design forms a "centered" scientific and creative community with industrial memory around the old factory. At the same time, the diversified functional layout is arranged, a small scale and dense road network experience are created. The design forms a popular high-rise building complex in the downtown and establishes a landmark of the corporate image. Based on Baowu culture, building approachable scale image echoes historical buildings. The podium integrates with the retained structures in the original site and the surrounding urban environment to create a "symbiont" with vitality. The vertical steel lines on the facade modeling, rising upward, like a torrent of steel in the night scene, showing the spirit of Baowu. The 18-meter-high crown design of the tower creates a light, bright, translucent effect that lights up the city's night sky. The crystal clear "Baowu Crown" symbolizes the industrial transformation from "black" to "green", from "heavy" to "light", and metaphorically represents the vision and hope from history to the future. Sky lobby, green terrace and other diversified value-added space converge into industry magnetic field.
The project carries the important mission of promoting the industrial transformation and upgrading of Wusong Industrial Zone, and is another milestone of China Baowu's active participation in the economic and social development of local governments. The project creates the high quality industrial headquarters cluster area in Baoshan, the attractive public vitality space, and the distinctive urban cultural landscape, showing the good urban image of the first plot in the special steel pilot region
