While in the pre-modern period, public relations were a spontaneous situation in which the social practices of daily life were intertwined, today we observe that public activity has evolved from city squares, parks or streets to the air-conditioned environments of shopping malls. As in many different cities around world, public life in Ankara influenced and evolved over the years due to the effects of pandemics, migration, socio-economic and technological developments. In the project, focusing on this change in the development of public life, the city and urban life were reconsidered through projected life scenarios about what urban life could be like today and in the future.

Rhythm is the outcome of an approach concerned with urban life and aims to raise the standards of Ankara's architectural building stock that will make a local and global impact, in addition to providing a well-designed and aesthetic building complex to architecture and the surrounding.
In terms of scale and location, it is essential to consider the project not just as a piece of land but as one of the landmarks of the city and to design it considering urban design criteria.
Considering the size and scale of the project, it is inevitable to pay attention to sustainable design criteria. In the master plan phase, mass design of the blocks, their relationships between them, facade orientations, solid - void proportions, and material choices are considered based on environmental sustainability criteria. In addition to that, the functional structure of the project is reconsidered with foreseen urban life, and open-air and socio-cultural activities are added to demanded functions by designing arhcitectural scenarios in the scope of social sustainability. While designing the floor plans of the blocks, natural ventilation, proper air conditining, and natural lighting of interior spaces, are key points when considering environmental sustainability and operating costs.
When the project area evaluated in terms of scale and location, it is essential to consider it as a part of the city and to design it according to urban design criteria. Considering the main urban design concepts, 4 main squares on the "highline", which form the backbone of the master plan, reveals the formal structure of the building blocks. The "Office Plaza", left in the middle of the office blocks designed as a socialization area for office users and campus visitors, on a more modest scale compared to other squares. The wide space allocated on the façade of Mevlana Boulevard is the "City Square", designed as a welcoming area. An amphitheater where open-air shows can be held and the entrance to a performing arts center are located on the main square. The city square is a candidate to become the attraction center of the city by hosting socio-cultural activities. Sunken Plaza", located in the middle of the land, surrounded by residential blocks, and consisting of two different levels, was designed as a node where all pedestrian axes intersect. In addition to commercial activities, Sunken plaza can be defined as a resting and chilling area with the support of surrounding greenery. “Arcade Square”, defined by the Hotel and Service Residence blocks, is also supported by vehicle transportation, unlike other plazas. Arcade Square is intended to be the center of luxury and elegancy, with high-end brands and art galleries.
Within the scope of the project, it is aimed to design a mixed-use project including housing, commercial, social, recreational and cultural functions, compatible with the topography, environment and building regulations. Also, it is important to comprise of unique and qualified architectural approaches, functional and innovative solutions.
